Eva Air have updated their cheap airfare to the Philippines with new pricing – probably to challenge Korean Air head-on with Korean’s popular price offers.
Eva Air’s current discounted seat sale offer which is supposed to expire on Feb. 15 and priced the lowest at $1,080 for travel between Feb. 1 – Mar. 26 —– the new offer is priced at $1,055 for the same travel period — about $25 difference from the previous offer.
Looks like Eva Air is seriously taking on Korean Air in a price war for cheap airline tickets from Toronto and Eastern Canada. They are taking notice of the fact that Eastern Canada is fast becoming a lucrative market for airline tickets to the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Present airline companies servicing this part of Canada to Southeast Asia are Korean Air (1 stop to Seoul), Air Canada (1 stop in either Narita or Hong Kong or Beijing), Cathay Pacific (1 stop in Hong Kong) and some US carriers.
Anyway, as already mentioned, the cheapest economy airline ticket to Manila is priced at $1,055 taxes included for travel from Feb. 1 to Mar. 26, 2011. The cheapest airfare for travel to the Philippines from Mar. 27 to May 20, 2011 is $1,145 taxes included.
Some of the mentioned restrictions: ticket valid for 3 months from date of departure, additional airfare from other Eastern Canada gateways (please call for exact amount), taxes differ depending on your departure airport (Montreal taxes is different from Toronto taxes, please call so we can check from our GDS), additional weekend charges for return on Fri/Sat/Sun, cancellation or refund basic charge of $250 plus service charges of the wholesaler and of our agency, one way fare is 60% of adult net price, etc. etc. Call for more information.
