NO TICKETING DEADLINE YET FOR THIS OFFER

I missed this airfare seat sale by Northwest Airlines for the reason that many Filipino residents of Canada are trying to avoid going thru the United States because of the hassle they say they experience with U.S. immigration and customs. Security is very tight in any U.S. gateway and most of the time, because of too many luggages upon their return to Canada - many of them are either questioned in length, their “pasalubong” to their folks back in Canada confiscated and they have to re-pack all their belongings that the customs people in the U.S. have inspected thoroughly - resulting in so much inconvenience for them.

But anyway, for those who have no problem with any U.S. restrictions or tight airport security - Northwest Airlines have also an airline seat sale offer of CAD$1,100 return from Toronto to Manila - taxes included. The plane will take passengers to either Minneapolis or Detroit gateway before proceeding to Manila.

That price is quoted for weekday departure and weekday return. If you want to depart or return on a weekend, an additional of CAD$35 must be added each way.

There is no announcement of ticketing deadline for this airline seat sale, so book now if you want to fly Northwest.

Not to be outdone by Air Canada, Korean Air have recently came up with an very tempting airfare deal for travel to the Philippines.

The discounted airline ticket offer is being offered for Eastern Canada departures and is priced at its lowest at CAD$1,120 for weekday departures and CAD$1,199 for weekend departures for the months of January up to May.

Start of the offer was 11 January 2010 and the last ticketing date to avail of this special New Year airline seat sale is 21 January 2010. Although it was being offered to Eastern Canada, part of the condition was the flights should originate from/to Toronto. We don’t exactly know what this means but we’ll be asking Korean Air about it.

As we write this, the SEATS ARE GOING FAST - tickets issued are mostly from Ontario customers and we are guessing not too many dates will be available in the coming days before the special airfare deal is done.

Air Canada have an airline seat sale for travel to the Philippines from Toronto. The airline has not announced any deadline for this special offer yet but Filipino travel agencies are expecting that they may STOP the offer at anytime without any notice.

The cheapest airfare deal to the Philippines is CAD$1,088 for departure and return via Narita, CAD$1,120 for combination via Narita and Hongkong - either departure or return and CAD$1,199 for via Hongkong departure and return. Hongkong tax has probably got a lot to do with the big difference in price.

All quotes are taxes included already, departure and return should fall on weekdays only (Monday - Thursday). If leaving or returning on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) - CAD$40 each weekend departure/return must be added to the quotes above.

As of today, 11 January 2010 - all flights for March, April and some days in May are already FULLY BOOKED for departure or return via Narita. Sad to say, it is not possible anymore to avail of this cheap flights to the Philippines offer. We are still able to get via Hongkong but seats are also going fast because - this offer is really a very good deal!

It is already the 11 January 2010 and we have not heard anything yet if Air Canada will terminate this airline seat sale offer so if you are planning to visit the Philippines and would want to avail this offer - call in now!
