The airline ticket sale offered by Cathay Pacific last October is being offered again today, November 30, 2011. Like previously, this is being offered to the Eastern Canada cities of Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa for travel to Manila.
Departure dates are on December 1-23, 2011 and from January 1 to May 24, 2012. Depending on the availability, the cheapest December was priced at about $1,620 BUT we doubt that the cheapest economy seat is still available. The reason is, most low priced economy seats for December flights to Manila is filled, specially if you’re coming back on January – with the first 2 weeks being the busiest.
The cheapest economy seat we found, which we found to be available was on departure for the 3rd week of January 2012 returning on the last week of February 2012 and the price was $1,420 taxes included. To get this price, you have to be very flexible on your dates.
This offer can also be considered as an early seat sale offer by Cathay Pacific for next year. The ticket, when purchased is valid for 3 months only. Requires a 7 day advanced booking notice and flights must be confirmed prior to ticketing. If booking is less than 7 days, tickets must be purchased on the same day.
Open return is not permitted and stop over in Toronto is not permitted as well. All trans-Pacific flight is via Toronto and the special discounted airfare is valid only on Cathay Pacific flights leaving Toronto in the afternoon and coming back noon-time.
Ottawa and Montreal passengers flies with either Westjet or Air Canada to connect with the trans-Pacific flight in Toronto with additional fare.
